Over Violette
Violette Neza Irakoze is a professional cyclist from Rwanda and a passionate advocate for gender equality in sports. Starting her journey on a single-speed taxi bike, she broke through societal norms to earn podium finishes at national and African championships. Violette is a UCI Level 3 Certified Coach and founder of the Komera Women’s Cycling Team, empowering young girls through cycling in her home region of Rulindo. She also represents the Women’s MTB Network and Plan International’s Bike for Future (B4F) project. Now racing with the Ridley Racing Team, Violette travels the world to inspire women to be fearless and follow their dreams—living proof that nothing is impossible.
